Escaping Suburbia

I keep starting this post about maybe stopping blogging here and then I never find a way to finish it. I don’t have much to post right now, hence the… what?… three weeks?… since my last post. But maybe I don’t actually want to quit.

I’m kind of tired of this blog, though. I’m thinking of ways to start fresh. We’re in the process of (hopefully) buying a house. I say hopefully because it’s a short sale so we are waiting for the bank to approve our offer. If that all comes through, then I am envisioning a new blog of house and garden related stuff… because it’s an 81 year old house and a realllllllly big yard that is nothing but dirt and weeds.

I’m still not back to taking regular photos. Mr. Wolf’s job became a bit of a monster that started eating up 12+ hour chunks of time, so we’re not getting out much right now. I’m hoping that will change this weekend.

So, all of this is to say… watch for some changes here. It might be a while until I post again. I suggest RSS feeds (try Bloglines!) so that you’re not unnecessarily clicking here every day.

Oh, and here’s one of my latest skeins of hand-spun yarn. Do you call it hand-spun if you use a wheel?

This is hand-dyed Corriedale from Pacific Wool and Fiber. Technique’s getting a little better. There are still some very fluffy parts and some very thin twisty parts. But overall I’m happy with my progress and I love the colors. (I bought this fiber sight unseen, so… whew, thank goodness it’s pretty.)
