Here’s another shot I took last night by accident. I messed up my camera settings and blew out the sky all around the dandelion so everything came out white. I kind of liked it, though.

I added an overall tint to even it out a bit and then decided to go totally greeting-card and added the quote.

I’m still thinking about the quote — trying to find something else to use.

We stopped by Camp Adair this evening to shoot some photos as the sun went down. My attention was captured by the dandelions.

Now I’m all itchy from lying down in the grass… ha.

Happy anniversary, Oregon, my love! I can hardly believe we have been here five years – the time seems to have just flown by. The best part of this move has been the new friendships we have made. Not to get all sappy, but I am so grateful to have both new friends and old friends in my life here.

Here is to many more happy years in Oregon! *cheers*

Photos like this — where I stuck my arm out the car window and took a photo with a phone app while we zoomed by at 55mph — make me wish I’d stopped and taken a proper shot with my actual camera. But then I wonder if I’d ever even be able to get the same feeling from it.

I don’t know what to say about this.

I wanted to practice taking some shots with a flash on the camera, so… okay, here’s what I practiced on:

Bookshelf Gnome has a companion now. The new guy has a watering can.

I don’t know what else to say. I have bookshelf gnomes. Plural. Doesn’t the flash do a nice job…?

Riverside Cemetery

I’ll have a TdF update soon, but wanted to post this photo I took last evening in a local cemetery. There are a lot of old gravestones here… the first burial here took place in 1847. They were watering the grounds last night as the sun slipped down behind the trees.
